Goodwood, home of one of the most famous horse race tracks in the world, played host to 4 days of racing in early August. Sponsored by Qatar Airways, the event has become known as QGF: Qatar Goodwood Festival.
OMM surveyed the site and proposed 8 LED screens, each 10m wide x 1.5m tall at 250m intervals down the finishing straight. In addition, we provided a 60m x 1m tall spread of 30m LEDs on either side of the finishing post. The use of LED in these positions gave maximum exposure and media value to the variety of sponsors of the 7 race-per-day racing card.
Using LED enabled the course to change sponsors effortlessly between races and, of course, get the full benefits of brand exposure only LED can provide. OMM worked with Goodwood to ensure all rules and regulations for the use of LED at the race courses, as laid out by the BHA, were followed.
