Nike’s aim: To create a fun, engaging experience to boost sign-ups for Nike Member Days and bring consumers back into retail post COVID-19.
AR Treasure Hunt In-Store
Consumers took part in a gamified AR treasure hunt, exploring the shop floor spawning a series of 3D characters called EKINs that unlocked Nike member benefits. By scanning QR codes placed around the store with our custom microsite, shoppers engaged in an entertaining digital experience while learning about Nike’s Membership program.

Native AR Microsite
We developed a microsite that utilised native AR technology alongside a QR code tracking system. As consumers navigated the store, they could scan QR codes to spawn various 3D animated EKIN characters, each featuring unique movements. A built-in checklist tracked their progress, encouraging participants to complete the full experience to earn in-store rewards.
Dancing Booth
Consumers were invited to step into our in-store booth installation, select a dance move on the screen, and groove alongside the EKIN character, mirroring its steps.

Sign-up & Share
After some dancing fun, consumers would download their dance duet video to their phones and sign up as Nike members to receive an exclusive voucher in the Nike app. To enhance the visibility of Nike’s Membership program, participants were encouraged to download and share their unique video on their social platform of choice.

Collaborating closely with their original creator, we rigged and animated the EKIN characters from scratch, creating 3D characters that radiated personality at every interaction.

Unity Game Development
Our in-house development team created a tik-tok style dancing booth experience that would capture your moves and upload them to a microsite for collection by scanning a QR code with your mobile phone.

We partnered with Tchai to design and produce a stunning fixture featuring a camera, touchscreen, and backdrop, enabling each participant to dance to their hearts content in private.
